Biography

Dr. Debbie Miller, Associate Professor of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, holds a 70% teaching and 30% research position in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. She also holds an affiliate faculty status in the College of Natural Resources and the Environment (CNRE). Before joining the University of Florida, she worked as an Ecologist for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University. Research responsibilities encompass various areas of natural resource conservation including; restoration ecology of barrier island communities, longleaf pine ecosystems, wetland community ecology and plant/animal interactions. She is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, Conservation Society of America, Society for Ecological Restoration and Ecological Society of America.
