Landscape Management Bid Project
 
 

Objectives:

The objective of this project is to provide a "real life" experience while developing an understanding of the competitive bidding process of the Landscape Maintenance / Installation Industry.
 

Students will be divided into Landscape Maintenance "firms." Each "firm" will be responsible for assessing and providing competitive sealed bids for two commercial properties with maintenance specifications, contracts, and an operations management or maintenance activities schedule based on a one calendar year contract.

Additionally, each firm will be responsible for developing a marketing / advertising plan which will include creating company logos, advertisement brochures, etc.

Grading:
The laboratory component (semester project and lab reports) will be worth 210 points (42%) of the final semester grade. Each component of the semester project will be graded by both instructors. Students will also evaluate each other's performance on the project using this evaluation form
