ORH 4236 Landscape and Turfgrass Management

Course Description:

This course will survey the landscape management industries, introduce principles and practices of landscape contracting, management plans, maintenance, and solving common problems encountered in landscapes.  Landscape maintenance equipment and control of common landscape pests are covered.  Lab will complement lectures.

Course Objectives:
The objectives of the course are to provide opportunities for the student to:
 . Gain an understanding of the current procedures for maintenance of plants in the landscape
 . Troubleshoot landscape problems
 . Explore landscape contracting methodology
 . Become aware of landscape equipment and its uses.
 Students completing this course will have an increased understanding of the landscape management profession.
